M1 J13-16 Upgrade Scheme

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to inform you that we are close to completing the first section of the upgraded M1 motorway between junctions 13 to 16.

This will initially mean a fourth lane opens to traffic on the northbound and southbound carriageways.

M1 Weekend Northbound Closure

A reminder that the M1 between junctions 14 to 15 northbound will now be closed for 56 hours from 10pm on Friday 19 November to 6am on Monday 21 November. The closure will allow engineers to lower the motorway surface at Tongwell Lane Farm bridge and adjusting the gradients on the carriageway at Little Linford Lane bridge. Road Closures - M1 junc 14-15

Following the pavement lowering works that were planned to take place between Friday 22 October – Monday 25 October. Due to unforeseen circumstances with the equipment making the specialist surfacing material, we were unable to complete these works. The road reopened on Saturday 23 October.

School admissions consultation

West Northamptonshire Council's School Admissions Team is co-ordinating a formal consultation on the admissions arrangements which will apply for mainstream schools within the county for the September 2023 intakes (Primary, Junior and Secondary). This consultation period allows parents, schools, religious authorities and the local community to comment on proposed admission arrangements.

Volunteers Needed for Fireworks Event 2021!

West Hunsbury Parish Council are looking for volunteers to act as Marshalls for the Fireworks Event on November 5th .

Key information is as follows -

* Briefing at 6pm at the bottom car park, Ladybridge Park

* Finish by 8.30pm

Please bring the following -

* a fully charged mobile phone

* a working torch

* a hi-vis if you have one, alternatively we do have some to borrow

* warm clothing and a warm hat

Fireworks 2021!

Fireworks 2021!

On Friday November 5th West Hunsbury Parish Council are delighted to present the 2021 Fireworks event in Ladybridge Park. Please see attached poster for further information.

The event starts at 6.30pm and concludes at 8.30pm with the main fireworks being at 7.30pm
