Welcome to Anne Davis our new Parish Councillor

The Parish Council is delighted to welcome Anne to the Council. Anne was co-opted at the March Parish Council Meeting. Anne is a resident of West Hunsbury and many of you will know her as the Vicar of St Benedict's. Anne has a strong sense of community and her main aim as a Parish Councillor is to build community cohesion.

60+ Club

The West Hunsbury Wednesday Club is free to join and open to all West Hunsbury residents aged 60 and over. It usually meets every two weeks in Parsons Meade Community Room from 2pm until 4pm. The calendar of events is attached.

Bus Service Changes

With effect from Sunday 6th January 2019 service X10/10 will no longer serve West Hunsbury. Service 2 will run between Rectory Farm and Northampton Town Centre so passengers for Camp Hill and Briar Hill should change or catch Service 3 in the Town Centre. Anti-Social Behaviour Hunsbury Hill Park Car Park

We understand that the level of anti-social behaviour in the car park after dark is getting worse.The Parish Council has therefore ordered a gate to be installed at the entrance. We would very much like to thank the Friends of West Hunsbury Parks who have offered to arrange a rota for locking and unlocking the gate. Inconsiderate Parking

The Parish Council knows that this is a big concern for many residents in West Hunsbury. We have taken advice from Northamptonshire County Council Highways and this is what they told us: "Unfortunately Northamptonshire County Council no longer considers installing no parking signs or bollards etc. Legally it is not an offence to park a motor vehicle, other than an HGV, on a grass verge unless it causes... West Hunsbury Grass Verges and Litter Bins

We are getting many complaints from residents regarding the lack of verge cutting and overflowing litter bins in West Hunsbury. The Parish Council has reported these issues to NBC and are chasing them. There is a very new environmental contract in place which will take time to bring everywhere up to the standards expected. Veolia and Northampton Borough Council

Veolia ES (UK) Limited has been awarded a ten year environmental services contract by Northampton Borough Council.
