People urged to be sensible when visiting bars and restaurants this weekend

Town centre partners are urging people to drink responsibly and remember that COVID-19 still poses a serious risk to health, if they are planning to visit bars, restaurants and pubs this weekend.

These venues are permitted to open from Saturday, 4 July, for the first time since the COVID-19 lock down, so are expected to be busy.

New parish councillor for West Hunsbury

West Hunsbury Parish Council are delighted to announce that Mr Kevin O'Donoghue has been co-opted onto the council following the recent casual vacancy.

Mr O'Donoghue will be taking part in the next council meeting in July.

We now have 8 Councillors which means that there are no further vacancies at this time. The 2020 elections were postponed due to the pandemic and will now take place in May 2021.

More funding available for Northampton’s businesses

A range of businesses in Northampton, which have not received other Government funding, could be eligible for a Discretionary Fund Grant from the Borough Council.

Parking charges to be reintroduced at the end of June

Northampton Borough Council will reintroduce parking charges in all its multi-storey and surface car parks from Monday 29 June.

Parking Charges were removed at the end of March in response to Coronavirus, ensuring key workers could access free parking in all borough car parks throughout Northampton town centre.

Multi-agency operation to improve safety across town

A multi-agency operation conducted on Saturday (6 June) in Northampton saw social distancing compliance checks completed in residential areas and at more than 35 businesses.
