Platinum Jubilee Certificate
West Hunsbury Parish Council were very proud to receive our certificate this week for taking part in the official Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We hope that our residents really enjoyed our Beacon Lighting Ceremony and all day Jubilee Event.

Claystones Open Space
Councillors from West Hunsbury Parish Council will be at the open space area near Claystones this Saturday June 25th ( weather permitting) between 2-4pm.
The councillors will be there to talk to residents about their ideas for the open space and also anything else that they would like to raise. Do come down for a chat!

West Northamptonshire Council launches a review into Northampton’s Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
A review into the way the council deals with HMOs has been launched in response to concerns about the concentration of this type of housing in Northampton.
HMOs are occupied by people who do not form a single household, who share facilities such as kitchens and bathrooms, and reside at the property as their main residence. Commonly, this including bedsits and shared houses.

M1 Junction 13 – Junction 16 smart motorway, upcoming weekend closure, Friday 10 to Monday 13 June
I am writing to advise you of an upcoming weekend closure that will be taking place on the M1. The M1 northbound between junctions 15 to 15a will be closed for 56 hours from 9pm on Friday 10 June to 6am on Monday 13 June 2022. The closure will allow our engineers to resurface lanes two and three with low noise surfacing next to Collingtree village.

Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony
The West Hunsbury Jubilee Beacon will be lit at 9.45pm on Thursday June 2nd, the lighting of the beacon, along with hundreds of others up and down the UK and the Commonwealth will mark the start of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Weekend.
We are asking you, our residents, to nominate someone who you think could start the lighting process for our beacon.
